Open to engaged and pre-engaged couples, this weekend retreat will help you prepare for the fun and challenges of marriage.

Barnabas Landing is a romantic setting located on Keats Island with stunning ocean views, spacious rooms and gourmet meals.

A typical weekend has four sessions with the guest speaker who will provide you with tools for relational growth.  Saturday afternoon is open for you to explore the island together.  Hike through the forest, play a game of pool or tennis or soak in the hot tub.

Many counsellors note that couples who participate in pre-marital counselling have a stronger marriage.  Invest in your future lives together.  It will be a memorable weekend.

Accommodation for men and women is separate but rooms are assigned for double occupancy.

Preparing For Marriage Retreat

Randy & Hannah Hamm Apr 6 - 8, 2018

Preparing for the Best!
Do the work you can now to ensure that you have the marriage that God offers you. This weekend will be a fun exploration of who are you, where you've come from, and what you are bringing to marriage. We'll look at the biblical principles to prepare you well for entering into the wonderful mystery of marriage.

Randy has been married to his beautiful bride Hannah for over 21 years and they have 3 kids (14, 13, 8). Although they loved living in Vancouver for many years, they are now happily relocated to Vernon, where he is Pastor at First Baptist Church. He loves teaching and connecting with people at a real level. Hannah taught Music for Young Children for 15 years (with up to 100 kids a week), and is currently enjoying a break while we transition to Vernon. She loves singing, leading worship and authentically engaging with others.
They love meeting people and figuring out how God's story intersects with ours. They are authentic in their faith and their marriage, not afraid to be honest about the struggles we all face.

Accommodation for men and women is separate but rooms are assigned with double occupancy.

Registration for this retreat begins Jan. 4th, 2018.
