Marriage Refreshment Retreat

James & Liz Prette Nov 3 - 5, 2017

Celebrating and Strengthening the Connection

One of the key foundations of any strong marriage is the joy and safety of a partner who is accessible, responsive and engaged. This weekend will focus on helping couples deepen their abilities to cultivate relational habits for these three important dimensions. Couples will have opportunities to enjoy and solidify their partnerships through fun, interactive teaching and practical exercises.

James & Liz Prette use honesty, vulnerability and humour to engage with people about life and faith. Their 30 year partnership in marriage, family and ministry have given them a depth of knowledge and experience to share. Liz also runs a private practice as a marriage and family therapist. James has a Doctorate of Ministry, worked with Young Life of Canada for 30 years, and has served as a pastor and a church planter.
They love to share their passion for celebrating and strengthening marriages. Some of their favourite things are: hiking in the beautiful West Coast, hanging out with their three grown children, eating great food with friends, and laughing together.

Marriage Refreshment Retreat

Jeff & Marilyn Vancil Nov 17 - 19, 2017

“Now I Get You!” - Exploring the Enneagram to Enhance Your Marriage

Description: Underneath many of our misunderstandings in marriage is the reality that we don’t understand ourselves or each other very well. During this weekend, Marilyn and Jeff Vancil will lead you to a greater understanding and appreciation for yourself and your spouse by exploring the personality tool known as the Enneagram. This tool highlights nine unique personality patterns and helps uncover the reasons why we think, feel, and act as we do. The weekend will include an overview of the nine Enneagram types, what each type looks for in relationships, what creates barriers, and practical suggestions on how to relate to one another.

Marilyn is the author of "Self to Lose - Self to Find: A Biblical Approach to the 9 Enneagram Types." She is a trained spiritual director, life coach, and certified Enneagram Professional. Jeff is the Executive Director of Leadership Development, a Seattle-based non-profit committed to raising up the next generation of Jesus-centered leaders. They have been married for 45 years, have 4 grown children, and delight in their 11 grandchildren.
