Family Circle
Skits, singing, laughter, and the day’s spiritual theme is introduced.
Age Appropriate Programming
Your children’s group leader will teach them biblical lessons on the day’s spiritual theme and keep them entertained with age specific activities: collecting crabs along the beach, building forts in the forest, wakeboarding, and all kinds of games with funny names.
Family Activity Time
Crafts, hikes, sailing, wakeboarding, tubing, kayaking… try it for the first time or the hundredth. Barnabas has lots of activity options for you to enjoy with your family every afternoon.
Special Adult Dinner
Three Special Dinners, One Amazing Evening
Our staff pull out all the stops with three special dinners in one night. The children during their dinner will have fun with activities and enjoy food prepared specially for them. The adventure-filled evening for teens begins with their dinner and is often a highlight of their week. The adults should expect to be pampered, to eat, to laugh, and to enjoy each other’s company during their multi-course themed dinner.
Bedtime
That’s right – our staff takes care of bedtime for the parents and continues looking after your children (asleep or awake) until 10:00 in the evening. Each age group will have an activity with their group leader before their respective bedtimes. The adults are in a session with their speaker, followed by the option of wandering to the General Store to visit over an evening latte or steamer and snacks.

Costs
Fees include: meals, activities, return trip by charter boat between Gibsons and Barnabas Landing, and taxes. A discount of 30% off the total will be offered to all first-time family registrations.
Timing
Family Retreats start on Sundays: guests take the 2:15 PM ferry to Langdale from Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver, BC.
Family Retreats end on Fridays with a return to Gibsons around 10:45 AM, enabling guests to catch the 1:05 PM ferry from Langdale.
The ferry is a 40-minute trip, for those needing to make additional travel arrangements.
