The Radical Way of Jesus

Our Lord & King comes to us in humility, teaches us reality, calls us to embody, equips us for ministry, and sends us out on mission. This mission is far more dangerous & extensive than many of us realized when we first responded to what sounded like Good News. Our King is not a tame lion, C.S. Lewis would remind. Indeed, we are called to reckless abandon to the cause of Christ in our spiritual journey where we lay down everything, risk everything, for the glory of the One who called, saved & sent us. It is the way Jesus modeled - it is the way we must follow - and yet it remains painfully counter-intuitive to our post-modern, comfort-seeking minds. This weekend will be a biblical & theological exploration of Jesus' life, mission, and calling for all of us - with special emphasis on Gospel-fluency, Gospel-community, & Gospel-risk.

Kris & Susie are urban church planters serving up the Gospel with Reality Vancouver church - an eastside Jesus community, a diverse group of saints & sinners representing the marginalized, the broken, the beautiful, the skeptic, & the radical followers of Jesus. Kris & Susie have been married 16 years, have 6 wild & wonderful children (from teens to toddlers), and are more passionately in love with Jesus - and each other - than ever.
