Nestled on the quiet shores of Keats Island along British Columbia’s spectacular coast, Barnabas Landing offers a unique and exclusive facility for corporate retreat rentals from time to time as space permits. With ready access to and from downtown Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast, Barnabas provides the perfect environment for business and relaxation.
How many can you accommodate?
Our facilities can accommodate 52 guests. We have three lodges: the “Carriage House” contains 12 suites, the “Lamplighter’s Cottage” has 8 suites, and “Applegate Inn” offers 6 suites. These beautiful bed and breakfast style rooms boast spectacular ocean or pastoral views and include a full private bath complete with artisan soaps and lotions. Each room has either a king size bed or two super-twin beds depending on your needs. Linens and towels are provided for all guests.
What activities and amenities do you have to offer?
Our friendly and helpful staff would be happy to assist you in designing a retreat which will accomplish your goals and objectives. Meeting spaces can be configured to suit your conference needs with board tables, conference chairs, and/or sofas. Our business work center will satisfy your technical support needs, including telephone, fax, and wireless internet access.
For your free time there is a variety of activities from which to choose. We have a cozy fireside lounge with a wood stove, a shuffleboard, and a pool table for your entertainment, and board games are available. The Espresso Bar will satisfy those who like their specialty coffees and our General Store will give the opportunity to purchase some Barnabas clothing, our chef’s own recipe book, jams made from fruit grown on the property, and other items.
For those wanting to enjoy the outdoors there are a variety of places to hike – choose one of the many island trails that lead up to magnificent views of Howe Sound or Georgia Strait with surrounding islands and Vancouver Island, or through the grandeur of the rainforest, or to various beaches to comb for marine life and shells. You can play tennis, street hockey, basketball, bocce, or frisbee golf, try mountain boarding or biking, or sit in an outdoor hot tub and delight in the view.
Are the meals good?
Barnabas prides itself on providing savoury and healthy gourmet meals. All meals and coffee breaks are served with an elegant touch. Our cook will also be available to accommodate special dietary needs.
How do we get there?
Located just 15 miles off the coast of Vancouver Barnabas can be reached in several ways: sea plane from downtown Vancouver (15 minutes), by charter boat from Horseshoe Bay (45 minutes) or by ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale and then charter boat to Keats Island (1 hour combined).
