At Barnabas, our full-time chef loves to craft healthy and savoury meals. She designs our menu with guests in mind, pleasing the palette of both adults and children.

Cooking from scratch and using the freshest ingredients (including produce from our organic garden), we are famous for our homemade granola, fresh-baked buns, and barbecue meats.  Every meal is a delicious experience.

We are happy to accommodate special dietary needs – however, we are on an island and need to plan ahead.  Please notify us of your needs prior to your arrival.

Summer Family Retreat Season

During our warm summers, meals are kid-friendly and buffet-style.  We serve them outdoors on The Pavilion, a casual setting with spectacular scenery.  Our self-serve coffee and tea station is open during meals and our locally roasted coffee is brewed fresh and early each morning!

We host a special adults-only dinner during the week in Lamplighter’s Cottage.  Please see Family Retreat Details for more information.


Adult Retreat Season

Our dining room is located inside Lamplighter’s Cottage and comfortably seats 52 guests.  It is an elegant setting with tablecloths, fresh flowers and candles.

Most meals are served buffet-style but arrangements can be made for plated or family-style meals.  Self-serve coffee and tea stations are available during meals and morning coffee breaks offer fresh baked sweets, fruit or savory snacks.
