Barnabas Rowing Club is a short term, non-paid, summer opportunity for High School students to “pull together” in ministry. Each Club member will join seven others serving on the work crew.

Leadership and personal development will be an integral part of this program. Training will involve a variety of sessions and activities.

 

Areas of ministry include:

  • Kitchen:  washing dishes, assisting in preparing food, setting tables, and clearing tables.
  • Childcare:  involved with early childhood care, ages 0 to 2 years
  • Cleaning: keeping the public bathrooms and showers cleaned and stocked with paper products
  • Assisting summer staff in their departments on a rotational basis such as General Store, waterfront, program, and maintenance
  • Contributing and assisting in the summer staff community life

Rowing Club 1: June 23  – 29 (8 Positions, 1 week)

Rowing Club 2: June 30 -  July 13 (8 Positions)

Rowing Club 3: July 14 – 26 (8 Positions)

Rowing Club 4: July 28 – Aug. 10 (8 Positions)

Rowing Club 5: Aug. 11 – 24 (8 Positions)

 

How to Apply for Rowing Club

Complete this Rowing Club Application form, have it signed by a parent, and mail it into the Barnabas office anytime after April 1st, 2012. Rowing Club positions will be confirmed by May 24th, 2012.

 

Note to Parents!

Due to the popularity of this program, all applications will go through a screening process: applications will not be decided on the basis of date application was received.

Please check the first and second choice your son or daughter has selected for Rowing Club to confirm these dates fit with your schedule.

If your son or daughter is attending Family Camp before or after their Rowing Club session, they will not be able to stay at Barnabas for the day in between.  We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
